Faith Formation: Adult Education Opportunities

Faith Formation is our Parish Council Commission dedicated to providing education and fellowship opportunities for our adult parishioners through various small group studies and discussions, parish missions, and other faith-filled programs. Thanks to this committee, our parish is a subscriber to FORMED, to provide free streaming content for our parishioners. Go to www.formed.org, find our parish by zip code, and register for your free account. The content is endless and it's all to help you grow in your Catholic faith.

If you'd like to help the church lead more formation opportunities such as book or Bible studies, or you have ideas for educational or service opportunities, please contact the Faith Formation committee.

Religion Classes

Our Religious Education classes are offered for all students, grades Kindergarten - 12th Grade. We follow the school calendar and meet on Wednesday evenings at 7 PM. If there is no school on a Wednesday, there is no religion. K-5th grades meet at Spearville Elementary School, 6th grade - 11 grade meet at the Parish Center, and 12th grade meets in the church basement classroom. Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament (depending on Father's availability and the class schedule) is available in the church during classes. Any parents and members of the community are welcome to utilize that time to pray in Christ's presence!

Students will receive the sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion during their 2nd Grade formation year. The sacrament of Confirmation will occur at the end of the 8th grade formation year.

We are so thankful for wonderful Catechists who teach our youth!

Church

Faith Formation

The Faith Formation Committee provides continuing formation opportunities for all parishioners. Their main focus is planning monthly gatherings in which parishioners are invited to participate in the study of a video series or various talks on the Catholic faith. These monthly gatherings typically happen on the 3rd Sundays of each month after the 8am mass. A potluck brunch provides fellowship time, along with the time of study and formation. This committee also plans for guest speakers or parish missions for the church. If you have other ideas or would like to help increase the continued education of our faithful, please contact anyone from the list below.
