We offer preparation for the reception of the Eucharist for children in the 2nd Grade. It is expected that at least one parent of the child be a practicing Catholic. Unless the child grows up in an atmosphere where the Faith is loved and lived, the child will not come to a healthy relationship with Christ in the Eucharist.

1^st Communion preparation takes place within the religious education classes offered through St. John the Baptist parish. Each child is expected to take part in the entire program. Those who are in the habit of missing classes will be asked to participate in the following year of preparation before receiving the sacrament.

An older Child or an adult who wishes to come to communion will receive separate preparation for the reception of Eucharist.
